March 2: Ivan also packed the Cathedral in Perth

Hundreds of people at St. Mary’s  Cathedral in Perth heard Medjugorje visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s appeals to live the message of Medjugorje. His talk to the Australians focused on the Virgin Mary as our Mother, on peace – and on prayer as the tool by which to obtain it.

Reports on Medjugorje visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s later appearances in Australia had been late in coming – until March 2nd when The Record reported how Ivan packed St. Mary’s Cathedral inPerth with hundreds of people on February 22nd. As such, people in Perth reacted like their fellow citizens had during Ivan’s visit to Sydney two days earlier.

According to The Record: “After Mass, Ivan was introduced to the congregation and he asked the congregation to join him in the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary. This action was a testimony to what was not a talk on the alleged apparitions of Our Lady but a plea to the congregation to listen to the messages that she has given to mankind” and so become  “an instrument in her hands and in God’s hands”.

First Ivan outlined how the Virgin Mary has not come to him as a bearer of an apocalyptic message, nor as a bearer of other grave news, but as a Mother.

“This was one of the most prominent themes as it could be seen in the way Ivan referred to Our Lady and the tone and manner of the messages, as Ivan says that “every time Our Lady appears to us she says ‘Dear children of mine. (…) Ivan talked about how Our Lady comes to him as a mother looking out for her children, a mother who loves us all’”, The Record reports.

“The second theme of Ivan’s talk was one of peace – how Our Lady reminds him repeatedly of how peace must reign among mankind, how peace is only in God and how we must open ourselves to that peace. The third theme focused on prayer. Ivan explained with great emotion how in this world there is a destruction of morals due to the fact that prayer has left the family and is no longer said daily”.

According to The Record, six priests heard confessions, and one of them gave a homily of how a visit to Medjugorje had changed his life.
